Now that you’ve visited the site, I hope you have a clear understanding of what Zoë Life is, but do you have it? If not, now is the perfect time to give your life to Christ.
We’re not promised tomorrow so don’t waste another day living below your privilege and claim the inheritance God has set aside for you, his favorite child and the apple of His eye.
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Deuteronomy 30:19
Step One – Realize you are a sinner.
You may say to yourself, “Im not that bad. I do a little somethin’ somethin’ every now and then, but it’s not like I’ve killed someone.” Being born is all that is required to be a sinner. Our lifestyle is the fruit of our sinful nature. Be aware of the fact that because of Adam and Eve’s mistake in the Garden of Eden, you will be in the state of sin without being born again.
Behold, I was brought forth in [a state of] iniquity; my mother was sinful who conceived me [and I too am sinful]. Psalm 51:5 [Amplified Bible]
Step Two – Repentance
What does it mean to repent? It means to change your mindset from old thinking and change your direction. Repentance is much deeper than a quick “I’m sorry God”. You are asking forgiveness for your sins and never go back to doing them again. Of course, you’re going to fall down and make mistakes, but that’s what so wonderful about God. Through our advocate, Jesus Christ, you can go to God and ask for mercy. He will forgive you and take every sin and cast them in the sea of forgetfulness, without a memory of them.
If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].
1 John 1:9 [Amplified Bible]
Step Three – Confession
Here is where the heart and mouth connection is used. Our mouths are containers that have the power to bring life or death into our lives and the people around us. Soon after you recognize and repent, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord over your life, that He died for your sins, and God raised him from the dead, true salvation is confirmed. SPEAK IT!
Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. Romans 10:9-10 [Amplified Bible]
Step Four – The Sinner’s Prayer
Repeat this prayer to God to complete the process.
“Father , in the name of Jesus, I confess right now, and realize that I am a sinner. I repent of all my sins. I make an 180-degree turn away from all my sins. I change my heart, I change my mind, I change my direction, and I turn towards Jesus Christ. I confess with my mouth that God raised Jesus from the dead, and I believe in my heart that Jesus is alive and operates in my life. I thank you Lord than I am saved. AMEN!”
Step Four – Water Baptism and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
As a believer I encourage you to be baptised, physically and spiritually. Baptism by water is a symbolic representation of the dying, burial, and resurrection of Christ. When put underneath water, it symbolizes the dying of yourself (old nature) and taking on the nature of Christ. When you are lifted out of the water, it represents the resurrection of Christ. Water baptism is an outward act of an inward decision.
And when Jesus was baptized, He went up at once out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he [John] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him.
Matthew 3:16 [Amplified Bible]
The spiritual counterpart is baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues which is one of the gifts of the Spirit. Receiving the Holy Ghost is given through the laying on of hands from a man or woman of God. Use these scriptures for reference:
And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].Acts 2:4 [Amplified Bible]
And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 [Amplified Bible]
Now when the apostles (special messengers) at Jerusalem heard that [the country of] Samaria had accepted and welcomed the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, And they came down and prayed for them that the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit; For He had not yet fallen upon any of them, but they had only been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Then [the apostles] laid their hands on them one by one, and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:14 – 17 [Amplified Bible]
Step Five – Obedience to the Word of God
This is a step that will take every day of your life. Now is when it’s essential to read the Word of God to find out how to live righteous lives and learn the many promises and rights you have as a born again believer. It is necessary to find a church home. Not just any church home, but a faith, bible-based, and Spirit-filled church.
Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17 [Amplified Bible]
I am so happy that you have decided to live in the abundance God intended. We’re family now!
