Where do you go when you need faith, hope, love and strength? What about empowerment, encouragement and motivation? Some may say to go to a good friend, a family member, a life class, a book, a seminar or even a church.
The word church is defined as a Christian house of worship, a building where religious practices take place. The church is also a place where you can receive Word from God, healing for your mind, body and soul; where you can be fed not just physically, but spiritually as well.
For many years now, there have been people in the church who believe that their job is to condemn or (to express an unfavorable or unfair judgment upon). By doing this they are set in their ways and their thinking is limited. Mark 16:15 says “He said to them: You are to go into the entire world and preach the Good News to every person”. Every person is included, no one is excluded.
Our job as believers is to let our light “shine”, not by shouting “OH YES I AM A CHRISTIAN, that’s it, the end. Matthew 5: 14-16 says “You’re here to be a light, bringing out the God-colors of the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.
If I make you light bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket do you? I’m putting you on a night stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a night stand-Shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt others to open with God, this generous Father in heaven”.
If you want to learn more, you have to want to learn more, you have to want to be taught. No one is perfect, but as believers, you have to renew your mind daily with God’s Word, and get rid of that stinking thinking! As you continue to do that, you can lead others to Christ, and people can see “The God in You “.
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples “-John 13:35
