When you hear the word “scandal”, what are the first words that come to mind? Evil Schemes, Plots, Trickery, Deception and the list goes on and on. According to Dictionary.com, the word scandal is defined as: a disgraceful or discreditable action; a defense caused by a fault or misdeed; and damage to reputation or public disgrace.
Revelation 12:9 talks about how Satan has deceived the whole world since the beginning of time through scandals and tricks. Satan’s ultimate goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (your relationships, reputation, family, home, finances, health and most importantly your life) John 10:10
In the news media today, you hear about different corporations and banks that are collapsing due to poor management and bad investments. So many people are losing their jobs, homes and investments (pensions, stocks and savings) due to scandals. There is a film entitled “Dick and Jane” starring Jim Carey, with real events happening today. The movie focuses on a middle class family living the good life and then one day the company Dick works for takes a nose dive due to scandal.
Dick and Jane had all their investments in this big corporation. They started to lose everything; their checks bounced, and even the grass was being repossessed! The company used Dick as the fall guy for their escape, leaving him to fall into the trick bag. Now doesn’t that sound like what’s going on today?
Hosea 4:6 (MSG) says “My people are ruined because they don’t know what is right or true because they turned their back on knowledge.” People must be aware of all schemes and scandals that come their way. It is very important for people fully investigate and research before they get involved in any event (dating, relationships, jobs, contracts, business transactions).
If you don’t know what to do read James 1:5 (CEB) –“But anyone who needs wisdom, should ask God, whose very nature is to give to everyone without a second thought, without keeping score”.
Matthew 6:33 says “Seek God first for directions, guidance and for the right people to be put in your path”. Not following these directions can lead you into bondage and disaster, which leads to embarrassment, depression, sickness and even suicide.
So please remember to READ THE FINE PRINT AND DON’T FALL INTO THE TRICK BAG!

This is really good food for thought and gives instructions on what not to do and do..so people won’t get put in the trick bag ! Good job as usual!
