Readers, lately have you been feeling like you’re having déjà vu? Like an era has repeated? What am I talking about? Let me give you a clue: 90’s pop? Yep, the Boybands invasion! Do you remember your favorite Boyband ladies?
Fellas, do you remember the one that made you cringe the most? Well, I was obsessed with N’Sync, and I was and still am in love with Justin Timberlake.
The Boybands of this generation are, however….mediocre. The only one that has really caught my eyes and ears is Mindless Behavior. Zoepeeps, I have them on my Ipod and I’m so embarrassed but I can’t help it; don’t judge me.
One of their hits is called ‘Mrs. Right’ and a line from the song reads “Where is Mrs Right? I gotta see her, travel all across the world just to meet her”. This line got me thinking, if you found Mr. or Mrs. Right then what? You float off in the sunset? Brace for marriage and the kids?
Let’s put the brakes on a bit and get down to the facts. Men and women both have a list of qualities that our perfect soul mate should have before we can even think about dating them. After we find that they have the qualities we desire we put them through pointless tests that only our Lord and Savior can pass. Right?
But I feel as Christians finding our mate should be approached differently. We have God as the best cupid in the business and we can trust him with every detail because he knows us best.
So let’s burn our lists, stop the petty games, and approach the “love game” by being the “WHO” we want. We get caught up with trying to find Mr. or Mrs. Right but if we find him or her are WE worth holding on to? Are we worth being their Mr. or Mrs. Right?
I took a Facebook poll asking men and women about the top qualities they need in their significant others and here are my results:
Christian men seek in women
1. God fearing and passion for ministry
2. Intelligent and Ambitious
3. Friendship and good listener
4. Domestic and maternal skills
5. Honesty
Christian women seek in men
1. God fearing and Passion for ministry
2. Intelligent and Ambitious
3. Leader, Protector and Provider
4. Friendship and Good Listener
5. Trustworthy
From the results we can see that both sides desire the same things. But do we possess the same qualities that we desire in our significant other? Men want a friend and someone with domestic skills, but do you know how to be a friend and be a good listener as well? Will you help out with the kids if necessary?
Women want a leader and an ambitious mate but can we be woman enough to be submissive to leadership? Do we know how to be a cheerleader to help him achieve greatness?
These are things we all need to consider and try to achieve before Mr. or Mrs. Right comes into our lives, because one wrong move can send them away forever.
Mindless Behavior said it best “Travel all around the world just to meet her!” so when God allows him or her to cross your path, just remember be their Mr. or Mrs. Right and your lives together will be ALRIGHT!

Okay. I gotcha! As I always say, instead of praying for God to send Mr. or Mrs. Right, we should pray for God to make us the right person for the right someone He is preparing for us. Makes no sense looking for the perfect person to be your partner…He died for us. If you are looking for a partner, however, trust God to make you right for the right person.
This is so true be his ms right as he tries to be ur mr right
YES YES OOO YES!!!!!!
Another great one , please keep letting God use to write these amazing article because they are an inspiration
Amen! Interesting turn on how we should look at things.
